No Heat? We’ll Be Right Over!

- 1:00 pm - December 10th, 2025

Parker Oil & Propane offers 24-hour emergency service, so that even when the weather outside is frightful, we’ll make you feel delightful!

No matter what the hour or the weather, our service experts will be at your door to keep your oil- or propane-fired boiler or furnace going all winter long. Not every fuel company in the area offers this important benefit; it’s just one of many ways Parker Oil & Propane goes out of its way to keep our valued customers warm and cozy.

Before you call us for “no heat” emergency service, we encourage you to take these steps to get your heating system to start back up.

  • TURN ON: Make sure the emergency switch is in the “on” position and turn up the thermostat at least 10 degrees higher than the actual room temperature.

  • TUNE IN: Next, listen carefully. Within a few minutes, you should hear your system hum into action.

  • SWITCH ON: If the equipment doesn’t start up, press the reset button on your burner’s relay. You need only press it once.

If your system still doesn’t start, consider these points before calling Parker Oil & Propane for what might be an unnecessary service call:

  • Are the emergency switches on?

  • Did the fuse or circuit breaker for your equipment trip?

  • Is the thermostat set properly?

  • Is there oil or propane in the tank? (Remember, if you are on our automatic delivery plan, you should never run out of fuel.)

Very often, one of these above issues is a cause of a system shutdown – but if your boiler or furnace still won’t start, or if it emits an odor or strange sound, don’t hesitate to call us at (800) 486-3146 or (434) 447-3146. We’ll be at your home in no time, so you can rest easy!
