Your air conditioning system can’t tell you when something is wrong, but if you’re hearing strange noises coming from the equipment while it’s running, it may very well be trying to get your attention! Loose or broken parts can cause a banging noise – this can indicate that there is an issue with the indoor blower, or the compressor needs to be replaced
A sign of a defective control or failing thermostat is a constant clicking that emanates from the electrical components of the air conditioning system
Buzzing and squealing coming from the equipment are signs that the fan blades may be loose or out of balance, air filters need changing, or a bad motor
High-pitched whistling or screaming requires immediate attention! If you hear this sound, turn your system off immediately and call Parker Oil & Propane – this sound is likely caused by a refrigerant leak, which can damage your AC system and threaten your family’s health.
