Give Your Heating System a Gift: A Tune-Up

- 1:49 pm - March 23rd, 2026

Your oil- or propane-powered heating system worked hard for you this past winter – treat it to a tune-up this Spring!

Spring is a great time to arrange your heating system tune-up because we have more flexibility to work around your schedule. We wouldn’t want you to miss the opportunity to ensure your comfort and your savings!

A tune-up will benefit your heating system and your budget by saving you money, reducing the amount of fuel your system uses, conserving energy, and preventing future problems before they happen. During a typical tune-up, one of Parker Oil & Propane’s expert certified technicians will:

  • Check thermostat settings to ensure that your heating system keeps you comfortable when you are home and saves energy while you are away.
  • Tighten all electrical connections and measure voltage and current on motors. Faulty electrical connections can cause unsafe operation of your system and reduce the life of major components.
  • Check all fuel connections, burner combustion and heat exchanger. Improperly operating fuel connections, a dirty burner, or a cracked heat exchanger can cause the equipment to operate less safely and efficiently.
  • Lubricate all moving parts. Parts that lack lubrication cause friction in motors and increases the amount of electricity you use.
  • Check system controls to ensure proper and safe operation. Your technician will make sure your system starts, operates, and shuts off properly.

If a problem arises during your tune-up, our technician will take care of it so you can relax knowing that your boiler or furnace will be ready for action come fall.
